Kelli Dixon, LGMFT
Hi! I’m Kelli Dixon, and I am currently a student intern through Capella University’s Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate program, graduating at the end of this year! I earned my bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in psychology with a minor in sociology in 2017. During my undergrad, I had the opportunity to work alongside professionals at a clinic for children with a diagnosis on various degrees of the autism spectrum. This opportunity enhanced my understanding of the importance of support for the whole family, as each member is impacted differently by situations the family unit encounters.
As an active-duty military family member, I understand the uncertainty that comes from big, and small, life transitions. Whether it’s a new or changing career, educational opportunity, relationship, life stage, faith challenges, transitioning into parenthood, empty-nesting, or experiencing grief and loss, everybody benefits from having a safe space and an empathetic ear to share with. You don’t have to do this alone.
My goal as a therapist is to meet you where you are, acknowledging that you are the expert of your own life. I am here to help you explore more of your strengths and provide a therapeutic approach that targets your areas of focus to help you meet your goals. My interest is working with a diverse clientele that includes individuals, couples, and families ready and committed to improving the relationships that matter most to them, including the relationship with themselves. If you are struggling with stress, depressive symptoms, anxiety, or anything that is keeping you from living the life you want, let’s collaborate. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and use a holistic approach to therapy.
