Brianna Shuman, LCMFT
Brianna Shuman is a Marriage and Family Therapist. She obtained her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy at Capella University. Brianna has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Shepherd University, where she worked closely with the LGBTQ+ community and discovered a passion for helping others help themselves.
In 2015, Ms. Shuman worked at the Jefferson County Youth Reporting Center with at-risk youth on probation. During this time, she worked closely with numerous counselors to help the students and their families overcome challenges and build the skills that would help them succeed. This ignited Brianna’s passion for working with couples and families.
Utilizing a person-centered, strengths-based approach, Brianna helps clients find the solutions that work for them. She believes that each family is unique and capable of creating an environment where each family member can thrive.
Brianna works with individuals and families looking to improve communication and resolve problems that interfere with a happy and healthy home life. Some areas of interest include communication problems and conflict. Brianna is interested in working with a diverse group of clients coming from many different backgrounds. She is sex-positive, kink-friendly, and LGBTQ+-affirming.
